Positive Learning Utilizing Strategies
The PLUS program provides smaller, individualized classes for students diagnosed with Learning Disabilities (LD) and Attention Disorders (ADHD).
The primary goal of the PLUS program is to prepare students to graduate from high school and to pursue a college degree.
PLUS students and parents must commit themselves to a rigorous course of study, which requires the student’s attendance, academic diligence, and appropriate behavior.
The curriculum prepares learners for a gradual transition into the traditional classroom and develops the skills necessary for academic success.
Placement tests, as well as records from
previous schools and family interviews, are
used to evaluate applicants’ probabilities for
success in the program.
Students in the Plus program receive
individualized attention from teachers in
a small, highly structured environment.
The students are grouped within the
subject areas according to skill level.
The curriculum prepares students for a
gradual transition into the regular
classroom setting, when appropriate, and
develops the skills necessary for academic
success in college.
