SBA DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Meetings/Clubs/Messages:

  • Training sessions for the Academic Team Association Committee of the NHS will take place on Monday, Sept. 22nd, Tuesday, Sept. 23rd and Wednesday, Sept. 24th.
  • Students interested in joining Teens for Life or wishing to travel to Washington for the Pro-Life Trip must attend an informational meeting.  We have two meeting dates to accommodate those who may have conflicts.  You only have to attend one meeting.  Meetings will take place today and next Monday, Sept. 22nd immediately after school in the courtyard right outside the chapel.
  • The Future Teachers of America will hold a second introductory meeting for those unable to attend the first.  The meeting will be today in Mrs. Miller’s room after school.
  • Attention Spanish Club members – there will be a Spanish Club meeting after school today in Mrs. Collins’ room, A208.  Officers need to stay after the meeting.
  • Model UN members – Please turn in t-shirt orders ASAP. 
  • Model UN members remember to bring baked goods for the sale to Mrs. Timmins room in the morning.  We need volunteers to work all lunches.  Please sign up for a time slot.
  • Pep Club meeting after school today in room B123.

General:

  • The following students need to come to the office for messages: M. Barczak, E. Schneider and E. Edwards.
  • Bobby Russell Scholarship applications are now available.  Students can pick one up in religion classes or in the guidance office.
  • Juniors can now sign-up for the PSAT help sessions.  Sheets are posted by Mrs. Brannon’s door.
  • Spirit Shop is open today during all three lunches.  Get your spirit items today and show your spirit for Homecoming.
  • Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors – please bring in red and blue plastic cups for homecoming week.  Each class needs 1,000 cups and they are worth 200 points toward your total for the week.
  • We would like to do a balloon release for the football game.  Please bring donations to Mrs. Fairchild or M. Cooke.  Thank you.
  • Remember to get your Homecoming Dance tickets today!  $5 for single, $10 for a couple.
  • Sign up for Wacky Olympics and pick up your Homecoming t-shirts during all lunches.
  • Homecoming Court needs to meet after school today at the football field for a quick run through.
  • The Math ACT workshop is after school today at 3:10 in room B225.
  • Results of Tuesday’s Election Poll:  McCain 65% of votes, Obama 25% of votes and Undecided 10%.
  • There will be a bake sale during all lunches tomorrow.  Bring your appetites and your money.
  • All choirs to be dismissed at 9:35.  Please go to the gym.

Sports

  • The Volleyball team travels to Hutchison tonight.  Freshman @ 4, JV @ 5 and Varsity @ 6 p.m.  Come out and cheer us on against the Sting!
