The Eagles rebounded from their loss at Briarcrest to take a solid win over MHEA in a home game, 56-37. The 7-11 Eagles had contributions from everyone with Jake Jeffrey leading the way with 16 points. The Eagles host CBHS on Friday in region action.

The Eagles met up with a talented Briarcrest team, losing 45-68, in region action. Jake Jeffrey had the high score for the Eagles with 19 points. The Eagles are 6-12 overall and 0-2 in the region.

The Eagles, hampered by injuries lost to Harding in a non-conference game, 56-48 with Robert Allen contributing 14 and Jake Jeffrey, 13. The Eagles stand at 6-11 for the year.

The Eagles were upended in the first region game of the year with a loss to MUS, 64-50. Jake Jeffrey dropped in 18 points for the 6-9, (0-1) Eagles.

The Eagles had the opportunity to play in the FedEx Forum before a Grizzlies game, but took a loss, 45-35, to Marion HS from Illinois. The Eagles outscored Marion in the first quarter 19-14, but trailed in the other three quarters to get the loss. The Eagles are 6-9 for the year and open region action at home on Friday.
January 6-7, 2012
The Eagles had a road trip to Chattanooga for a game with powerhouse McCallie and then to Nashville on Saturday for a game at Christ Presbyterian. The Eagles trailed Mccallie in the first quarter, then came back to come clos in the second. But, McCallie pulled ahead in the second half to beat the Eagles 61-38. Christ Presbyterian, which are at least 10-deep with players gave the Eagles a tough first half, but the Eagles surged back in won the second half only to fall 92-79. The Eagles stand at 6-8 for the year.

The Eagles got behind from the beginning and never were able to gain momentum in a loss to Bartlett, 72-53. The Eagles are 6-6 on the year as they prepare for two out-of-town games in Chattanooga and Nashville over the weekend.
December 28-30
The Eagles traveled to Pontotoc, MS for their three-day Jingle Jam Classic. The Eagles swept the three-game boys round-robin by beating Southaven on Wednesday, 49-39. They beat the host team, Pontotoc HS, the next day, 63-52 behind the 20-point game from Jake Jeffrey. The final game with Neshoba Central, MS took and overtime effort, but the Eagles prevailed, 57-49. The Eagles go into January with a 6-5 record.

The Eagles played one of the best games of the year to beat St. George’s 64-52. SBA was led by JP Stoddard with 16 points and Jake Jeffrey who had 13. The Eagles (4-4) take a break for Christmas, but will play in the Pontotoc (ms) Jingle Jam Tournament starting on Dec. 28.

The Eagles lost a heartbreaker at the buzzer by one point to Paideia, Ga. in the Atlanta/Memphis Roundball Tournament. The Eagles led by a point with the Paideia point guard getting the ball and seemed to turn it over, but wasn’t called and passed off for a shot at the buzzer to give them the win. The Eagles are now 205 for the year and Host St. George’s this Saturday.

The Eagles kept their will to win to pull out a barn burner over Germantown, 52-51. Jake Jeffrey led the way for the Eagles with 17 and 10 rebounds for the night. The Eagles had a strong 4th quarter with 21 points to the Red Devils’ 16.

The Eagles got their fourth loss of the year when Arlington won in a non-region game, 66-52. The Eagles hung with the Tigers most of the game, but their legs gave out and they got the loss to make their record, 1-4 for the year. They host Germantown on Friday.

The Eagles traveled to Briarcrest to play in the Braggin’ rights tournament. They took on a very quick and big Southwind team, who added players since their earlier pre-season game. The Eagles stayed competitive in the first quarter, but Southwind was too much to contain. The Eagles drop to 1-3 with the loss, 72-40.

The Eagles played a great first half against Bartlett, who has a highly recruited division I player, but lost their momentum in the second, losing 63-50. The Eagles were led by Jake Jeffrey, who had 19 for the night. They are 1-2 for the season.

The Eagles took on a very athletic and quick Millington Trojan team and came up short, losing 60-55. The Eagles fell behind earl, but surged ahead in the fourth quarter to actually lead the game at one time, but couldn’t hold momentum. The Eagles were led by Jake Jeffrey’s 14 points. The Eagles are now 1-1 for the year.

The Eagles chalked up their first win, 48-42, over Munford. Rodney Clarke led the way with 12 points and almost everyone contributing points.
