The Eagles bowling teams had an outstanding state tournament with both the boys and girls coming home with State runner-up trophies. The Boys team (15-0 region champions) beat Ezell-Harding, 19-8 in the Quarterfinals to advance to the Semi-finals, beating Pope John Pual II, 19-8. In the finals the Eagles met-up with BGA and lost in a pin count, 14-13 for the runner-up position. The Eagles were 17-1 for the season.The Lady Eagles (12-3 for the regular season) took their first match in the quarterfinals with a win over a tough GPS, 16-11. In the semi-finals they, too, beat Pope John Paul II in a decisive win, 20-7, falling to region rival St. Agnes in the finals, 23-4. The girls finish with a record of 14-4. Junior Angela Vick also came home with a runner-up trophy in the individual rounds. SBA was the only school fielding teams in the finals.

Your Eagle Bowling Teams will be headed to State this afternoon. Hopefully the building won’t collapse like it did last year. Thanks for putting up with this one last time. Your Eagle Bowling teams finished the season in excellent form. The Guys finished a perfect 15-0 season with a resounding 20-7 win over rival MUS. The Eagles were led by senior Alex Watson who bowled a personal best, 277 and senior Jordan Lee who bowled a 245. Other Eagle leaders were Blake Fatchett, Peter Trzil, Max Smith and Zach Wiley. Having won the West Region, your Eagles will have a #1 seed going into the State Tournament at the end of the month.
Meanwhile, the Lady Eagles hosted a young and highly talented St. Mary’s team who led 5-3 after the first game. The Eagles came storming back, however, with big days from juniors Angela Vick (201, 184) and Allie Hopper. Senior Amanda Ashe (186,165) and Freshman Monica Fillion (153) also had key performances as the Eagles held on for a 15-12 victory. The Ladies finished their season at 12-3 and earned a 2nd place finish in the West Region as well as a #2 seed at the State Tournament. GREAT REGULAR SEASON EAGLES AND GOOD LUCK AT STATE!

The boys and girls teams have had great success this season, with the boys (13-0) getting another win over CBHS to capture the Region title and the girls, with a 10-3, record claiming region runner-up.

The Eagle Bowling Teams both advanced their records yesterday at Cordova Lanes. The Guys are now 11-0 after edging a very good Lausanne team 17-10. Ryan Cooper led the Eagles with games of 249 and 201 and had a lot of help from Blake Fatchett (223), Peter Trzil (210), Alex Watson, Jordan Lee and Chance Donohue. Meanwhile, the Ladies improved to 9-2 with a 25-2 victory over Hutchison. Amanda Ashe led the Eagles with a 204 and other big days came from Emily Anderson and Allie Hopper.

Your Eagle Bowling teams continued their winning ways on Thursday with W’s over Harding. The 8-2 Ladies were 23-4 winners and were led by Amanda Ashe (183,203), Angela Vick (190) and Carlie King. Meanwhile, the 10-0 Guys rolled to an easy victory behind Juniors Michael Yeager and Ryan Cooper (216). GO EAGLES!

The Bowling teams took big victories at All-Star with the 9-0 Boys team defeating MUS 18-9. Great games were offered by Ryan Cooper (201,202), Alex Watson (210, 204), Blake Fatchett (227), Peter Trzil, Max Smith and Jordan Lee. The 7-2 Ladies staved off a ferocious charge by St. Mary’s to win by only 34 pins. Stellar performances were from Angela Vick, Amanda Ashe, Allie Hopper and Susanah Tovar.

The Eagle Boys Bowling Team defeated CBHS 19-8 on and are now 8-0 on the season. The Eagles jumped out to a huge 14-2 lead and went on to defeat the Brothers by 300 pins. Eagle leaders included Ryan Cooper (Jr) and seniors Peter Trzil and Jordan Lee. The girls picked up their second loss with a 21-6 defeat at the hands of St. Agnes. Their record is now 6-2

The Guys were led by Michael Yeager (228), Blake Fatchett (220), Alex Watson (202), Max Smith (200) and Peter Trzil. Meanwhile, the Ladies defeated Hutchison 24-3 with good performances from Angela Vick, Susanah Tovar and Allie Hopper to advance their record to 6-2.

The SBA Bowling Teams beat Briarcrest at Cordova yesterday. The 6-0 guys won 24.5-2.5 with a big 235 from Ryan Coope(Jr). Other big games came from Max Smith(Sr), Alex Watson(Sr) and Michael Yeager(Jr). Meanwhile, the 5-1 ladies beat the Saints 23-4 with a great outing from Susanah Tovar(Soph).

The 4-1 girls team defeated St. Mary’s 23-4 and were led by Angela Vick, Emily Anderson, Amanda Ashe and freshman Jessica Wathen.

The Eagle Bowling Teams had a fantastic outing in their matches against CBHS and St. Agnes. The Guys advanced to 4-0 and soundly whipped the Brothers 20.5 to 6.5 with huge days from Ryan Cooper (602 series), Peter Trzil (204 & 205), Hunter Donohue and Blake Fatchett. The Ladies pushed St. Agnes to the ropes but fell just short (15-12) although amazing performances from Allie Hopper (232), Angela Vick (215), Amanda Ashe (199) and Emily Anderson have the State Champs quite concerned for the future.

The Eagle Bowling Teams advanced their records to 2-0 yesterday at All-Star. The girls were led by seniors Emily Anderson and Amanda Ashe while junior Allie Hopper contributed a 182 and Sophomore Susanah Tovar rolled a 165 in the 25-2 victory over Briarcrest. The boys defeated the Saints 26-1 with a huge day from senior Blake Fatchett (208, 241) and junior Hunter Donohue (193,206).

The Eagle Bowling teams began the season with victories. The Ladies defeated Hutchison 26-1 with a big day from senior Amanda Ashe. The Guys edged Lausanne 15-12 with a big 248 from senior Blake Fatchett and a 208 from junior Zach Wiley.
