The Eagle Bowling Teams emerged victorious yesterday and claimed Region titles. The Guys staved off a determined MUS squad en-route to a 17-10 victory. Zach Wiley led the Eagles and also earned a spot in the individual State Tournament. Chance Donohue also had a big outing for the 12-0 Eagles. Meanwhile, the Ladies retired Lausanne 25-2 with Freshman Nicole Harty and Seniors Angela Vick and Allie Hopper leading the way. The Ladies are 11-1 heading into the State Tournament.

The Eagles had their first match of the new year with crushing wins over Harding by the boys, 26-1, with big performances from Justin Crone, Mac Schaaf and Zach Wiley. The girls also beat Hutchison, 27-0, led by Susannah Tovar and Jessica Wathen. Both teams have clinched the Region title and have one last match on Thursday before heading to the State Tournament. The boys are 11-0 and the girls’ record is 10-1. The boys head into the state tournament with an 11-0 record and the girls also head into state action with a 10-1 record.

It was a day of mixed results for your Eagle Bowling Teams. The Ladies came up just short in a 15-11 loss in a match with St. Agnes, but had a lot to cheer as freshman sensation Nicole Harty won all 3 of her matches and Sophomores Monica Fillion and Jessica Wathen also had great outings. The Lady Eagles still captured the region title earlier, with this as their first loss. They are 9-1 for the season.

The Eagle Bowling Teams advanced their records to 9-0 yesterday with big victories over CBHS and Briarcrest. The Ladies were solid all around in their 23-4 triumph over Briarcrest. The Ladies were led by Freshman Nicole Harty who bowled a 208 to pace the Eagles. Other great performances came from Jessica Wathen, Allie Hopper, Susanah Tovar, Kathleen Bray and Angela Vick.

Your Lady Eagles Bowling Team defeated Harding 25-2 behind another-worldly performance by Senior Angela Vick who bowled an opening game 279. She then followed with a 198 to pace the 8-0 Eagles. Allie Hopper (177,180) also had a great day as did Freshman sensation Nicole Harty (163).

The SBA Bowling Teams won huge matches at Winchester Lanes. The ladies had to climb out of a 1-7 deficit to edge St. Mary’s by only 8 pins. Leading the Eagle comeback were Susanah Tovar, Allie Hopper, Kathleen Bray, Carlie King and Angela Vick. The ladies are now 7-0 and leading the Region.

Your Eagle Bowling teams added another victory yesterday at All Star Lanes. The 5-0 Ladies were led to their 21-6 victory over the Harding Lioncats by Angela Vick (202.211), Allie Hopper (211,193), Monica Filliion and Kathleen Bray.

The Lady Eagles Bowling Teams had a “gut-check” performance in their come from behind 17-10 victory over St. Agnes. Down 9-7 after 2 games, the Ladies erupted in the final game behind Angela Vick (213,211), Allie Hopper (212) and Kathleen Bray (189) for a stunning win that puts the 4-0 Eagles at the top of the Region.

Your Eagle Bowling Teams continued their rampage through the region yesterday with two big victories. The Ladies defeated Hutchison 23-4 on Tuesday and then continued the streak with a 24-3 decision over Briarcrest. Lady Eagle standouts this week included Angela Vick (215,214,200), Allie Hopper (225,155), Jessica Wathen (172), Carlie King (164) and Monica Fillion (163).

Your Eagle Bowling Teams asserted themselves as the teams to beat in West Tennessee in their season opener.
The Ladies showed glimpses of greatness as they thumped a St. Mary’s team who was a preseason D2 favorite by the score of 21-6. The Eagles jumped out to an early 8-0 lead and never looked back as senior Angela Vick bowled an unbelievable 226, 209. Carlie King threw two big games of 169, 173 while Jessica Wathen, Susanah Tovar, Allie Hopper and Kathleen Bray ensured that the Turkeys would never get close.
