After a well played first half, the JV team got an equalizing goal from Freshman Annie Uebelacker in the second half to earn a 1-1 tie against the St Agnes JV team.  It was a strong effort all around for the JV team whose record is now 8W-3L-1D.     The Varsity played against a favored St. Agnes team and gave them everything they could handle and more.   Midfielder Chelsea Casaccia scored on a well executed free kick in the first half to put the Lady Eagles up 1-0.   With solid goalie play and defense, as well as constant pressure supplied by Eagle midfielders and forwards, the St Agnes team was held scoreless for 65 minutes. Aiding the effort was the largest and most boisterous student section seen all season, which inspired the girls to play with all heart. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough as the Stars put in two goals in the final fifteen minutes to pull out the victory.  All in all, it was an outstanding effort by the Varsity Girls and as they start to overcome some of the injuries that have plagued them all season, it sets a good tone as they close out district play over the next two weeks and get ready for the playoffs.  The Varsity record is currently 6W-8L-2D.
