St. Benedict at Auburndale’s Mock Trial team participates each February in the Tennessee High School Mock Trial Competition. This event takes place at the Shelby County Courthouse and is sponsored by the Tennessee and Memphis Bar Associations.

Each year the SBA team practices from early December until the first day of competitive competition. All trials are held in the evening, lasting over the week and into the weekend. Seniors that have previously been Mock Trial members usually have priority as lawyers. Other grade levels may become involved with the team in order to become prosecution or defense lawyers as seniors.
