May 24-25, 2011

The Lady Eagles ended the season with a two-game loss in the State Tournament, first to Baylor 11-1 and then to Pope John Paul, II in the loser’s bracket, 4-0. It was the 15th consecutive state appearance for the Lady Eagles who end the year with a 30-19 record.


May 20, 2011

The St. Benedict Lady Eagles Softball Team took two (10-0, 17-1) over visiting Harpeth Hall, out of Nashville, to advance to the Semifinals of the State Tournament in Murfreesboro next week. This is the 15th Consecutive State Tournament appearance for the Eagles under Head Coach Christy Bingham. SBA also captured its 13th region crown in 14 years this year. The Lady Eagles’ record stands at 30-17


May 12, 2011

The Lady Eagles wrapped up another region championship by taking St. Agens 14-0 in the final regular season game of the year. The Lady Eagles prepare to host a middle-Tennesse team for the State quarterfinals on May 20.


May 11, 2011

The Lady Eagles Softball Team won another Region game against Briarcrest, 2-0, and finish up today in region action against St. Agnes. Mackenzie Haney chalked up her 24th win of the year and the Lady Eagles record stands at 27-17.


May 9, 2011

The Lady Eagles got back on the winning track in a region match-up with St. Agnes, taking the Stars 12-1, advancing their season record to 26-17.


May 6-7, 2011

The Lady Eagles split a tournament schedule in Kentucky with two losses and two wins:

  • Mercy 5 SBA 4
  • Owensboro Catholic 1 SBA 3
  • Anderson County 1 SBA 5
  • Central Hopkins 8 SBA 2


May 4, 2011

The Lady Eagles advanced their record to 23-15 with a close win over Trinity Christian, 3-2, in a rain-out make-up game.


May 3, 2011

The Lady Eagles finally got in a region game with Briarcrest, others have been postponed due to weather, and came away with a victory, 5-2. McKenzie Haney got her twentieth win with the victory.


April 29, 2011

The Lady Eagles notched another win, this time over Collierville 6-2, with Mackenzie Haney getting her 19th win and Michele Farler contributed with a homerun. The Lady Eagles stand at 21-15 for the year.


April 19, 2011

The Lady Eagles got another big win over Horn lake, 11-2, with Mackenzie Haney chalking up another win. Hannah Dennis helped with two homeruns. The Lady Eagles are 20-15.


April 18, 2011

The Lady Eagles advanced their record to 19-15 with a huge win over Bolton, 12-0. Mackenzie Haney (17-4) got the win for the Lady Eagles.


April 14, 2011

Another win over Brighton, 5-4, for the Lady Eagles and pitcher Mackenzie Haney. The Eagles are 18-15 for the year.


April 13, 2011

The Lady Eagles ranked 7th in the CA Dandy Dozen) had a great win over Brighton (ranked 9th in the Dandy Dozen) as Mackenzie Haney had a two-hit shutout to take the win over the Cardinals, 3-0. The Eagles’ record stands at 17-15 on the year.


April 12, 2011

SBA lost to USJ in when they rallied in the sixth to take the win over the Lady Eagles, 2-1.


April 8-9, 2011

The Lady Eagles traveled to Knoxville for the Gibbs Tournament and won three out of four games. They beat Christian Academy of Knoxville, 4-3; Halls, 2-0 and Heritage 5-0 with Mackenzie Haney getting all three wins. Carlie King added a homerun in the Halls win. The Lady Eagles’ record stands at 16-11.

The Lady Eagles dropped their third straight in Tennessee High School Showcase in a loss to Munford 5-3.


March 31, 2011

The Lady Eagles dropped a double-header at the First Tennessee High School Showcase tournament – to TRA 2-1 and to Bolton 6-4. In the Bolton game Mackenzie Logue and Michelle Farler both contributed home runs.


March 28, 2011

The Lady Eagles picked up a loss at Huntingdon (8-5), with MacKenzie Haney getting the loss for the Eagles. The Eagles continue in the winner’s bracket, though, with a 9-6 record for the year.


March 25, 2011

The Lady Eagles extended their record to 9-5 with a 6-3 win over Horn Lake. MacKenzie Haney also extended her record to 9-5 getting the win for the Eagles.


March 24, 2011

The Lady Eagles took another win at home, in a big way, over South Panola, 14-2 with MacKenzie Haney (8-5) getting the win and advancing the Eagles to 8-5 for the season.


March 23, 2011

The Lady opened at home with a 4-0 win over Arlington, with sophomore pitcher MacKenzie Haney getting another win for the Eagles.


March 17-19, 2011

The Lady Eagles also opened with their annual trek to Hendersonville to play in the Commando Classic and boast a 6-2 record with wins over Brentwood (5-0), Hendersonville (5-4), Station Camp (6-1), Sycamore (2-1), White County (5-3) and Cleveland (4-1). Pitcher McKenzie Haney got all the wins for the Eagles with Jenny Bruks, Natalie Kinney and Carlie King all adding homeruns in the tournament.
