The Tennessee Scholastic Lacrosse Association (TSLA) was formed in 1993.  The Saint Benedict at Auburndale’s Lacrosse Team was formed in 2005/2006, under the direction of head coach Mark Hollis, and assistant coach Tom Tompkins.  After only three seasons, the SBA Lacrosse Team represented West Tennessee in the Division 2 Semi-Finals in Nashville on May 10, 2008.  SBA also had four players who received 2008 All State Honors:  P. Shelso; J. Macyauski; G. Mills; and T. Hollis.  The sport of lacrosse continues to grow significantly throughout the state at the youth, high school, and college levels.
