2017 Summer Math Packets

Math packets are required for all students who are enrolled in Algebra I, Geometry, or Algebra II.  This packet is due the first full day of school.  It will count as the student's first quiz grade.  

Each student need only complete the one packet for the course he/she is registered.

ALGEBRA I 

Algebra is the foundation for many other areas of mathematics so a thorough understanding and retention of its concepts is vital to your success in future math courses. This summer packet covers the key concepts from your previous math classes and contains the prerequisite skills necessary for you to transition to high school.

ALGEBRA II 

Algebra is the foundation for many other areas of mathematics so a thorough understanding and retention of its concepts is vital to your success in future math courses. Therefore, the summer packet covers the key concepts from your previous math classes and contains the prerequisite skills necessary for you to be successful in Algebra II.  In addition, it will cover review of specific topics presented in Algebra I and Geometry that are particularly important to know before beginning Algebra II.

GEOMETRY 

Geometry is the study of shapes and spatial relationships, but it includes numerous examples and exercises involving algebra. Therefore, a thorough understanding of algebra and retention of its concepts is vital to your success in Geometry and future math courses. This summer packet covers the key concepts from your previous math classes and contains the prerequisite skills necessary for you to be successful in Geometry.
