Student Visit Day
Scheduling a shadow day at St. Benedict is an excellent way for students to experience our school firsthand. During this immersive visit, your student will spend the day attending classes with a current student, allowing them to engage with our curriculum, interact with teachers, and meet their potential future classmates.

All rising 9th-grade students applying to St. Benedict from Catholic middle schools or other private schools who have taken the Pre-ACT are not required to take the High School Placement Test at St. Benedict, unless otherwise advised. The Pre-ACT test results will be requested from your school. 

All rising 9th-grade applicants who have not taken the Pre-ACT must complete the High School Placement Test at St. Benedict.

Why is the High School Placement Test important? 

• The High School Placement Test is designed to assess each student's academic readiness and strengths, ensuring they are placed in the most suitable courses. 
• This assessment allows the school to customize its instructional methods to meet individual learning needs and establishes a strong foundation for students’ future success. 
• The results can highlight areas for growth and ensure that students receive the necessary support to excel throughout their high school experience.

Families seeking financial aid have two options to explore:

1. Apply through FACTS: Families can complete the application online via FACTS, our reliable third-party partner for financial aid assessments.
    
2. TN ESA Program: Families may also qualify for the Tennessee Education Savings Account (TN ESA) program, which provides eligible families with funds to cover approved educational expenses, including tuition, fees, and other related services. This program aims to give parents increased flexibility in their children’s education by allowing them to use these funds at participating private schools and educational providers.

Your family may qualify for either FACTS, the TN ESA program, or both. Regardless of your choice or eligibility, please ensure that all required tax documents are uploaded at the time of submission, as incomplete applications may delay processing or result in the denial of funds.

Each applicant will receive notification of their scheduled family meeting date and time. This meeting offers an opportunity to explore your student’s interests and aspirations enabling both the family and student to ask questions.

Once your student’s grades, discipline reports, attendance records, teacher recommendations, and placement test scores have been reviewed and the family meeting has taken place, we will send acceptance letters and enrollment contracts to qualified applicants.

Due at time of enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year:

1. Student's signed enrollment contract 
2. A $400 fee:
   • $250 tuition deposit 
   • $150 enrollment fee which will be waived for families who enroll within 14 days of receiving their enrollment contract. 

The Enrollment Contract is part of the student's online enrollment form. All parents or guardians must accept the Enrollment Contract by providing their electronic signature. They should understand that unless the St. Benedict business office receives written notification to cancel this contract within fourteen (14) calendar days of submission, the parents or guardians will be financially responsible for the student and obligated to pay the full annual tuition and associated fees.

The Catholic Diocese of Memphis requires that all students who wish to transfer to St. Benedict must have settled all accounts with the previous school(s) to gain admission.
