Our PLUS Program provides tailored support for students with learning differences, ensuring that all learners can thrive. Additionally, our robust STEM, Business, and Fine Arts programs seamlessly integrate theory with hands-on experience, preparing students for success in college and beyond.

Submitting your application allows us to request official transcripts and Pre-ACT results (if applicable) directly from your student’s school. Please create an account to initiate your application.

Required Documents

Please ensure the following documents are legible and are ready for digital upload in PDF or JPEG format, with all files in vertical orientation.

Birth Certificate
Academic Records: Freshman applicants should provide their most recent report card, while transfer students must submit transcripts based on their current grade level.
Immunization Records: Must be up to date for students in 7th grade or higher.
School Contacts: Provide the names and email addresses of your student’s principal and counselor, as they will be asked to submit recommendations.
PLUS Program Applicants:
If your student has a learning difference and is applying to the PLUS Program, include a psychological evaluation (dated within the last three years) specifying the diagnosed learning difference.

Families Seeking Financial Aid Have Three Options:

FACTS, the Tennessee Education Savings Account (TN ESA) and the Education Freedom Scholarship (EFS).Your family may qualify for either FACTS, the TN ESA program, or both. Families may also apply to the EFS program. However, families may only participate in one program at a time (TN ESA or EFS). Awards are granted on a first-come, first-served basis.

TN ESA Program

Families may also qualify for the Tennessee Education Savings Account (TN ESA) program which is managed by the state and provides eligible families with funds to cover approved educational expenses such as tuition. This program aims to give parents increased flexibility in their children’s education by allowing them to use these funds at participating private schools and educational providers.

The Education Freedom Scholarship (EFS)

The Tennessee Education Freedom Scholarships (TN EFS) allows residents of Tennessee who have a child entitled to attend a public school in grades K-12 to use state funds toward education expenses, including tuition and/or fees at registered Category I, II, or III private schools located in Tennessee.

Of the 20,000 scholarships available, 50% will be awarded based on financial need, while the remaining 50% are not need-based. For ongoing updates about the program, we also encourage families to subscribe to the TN Department of Education newsletter.

Apply Through FACTS

St. Benedict has a limited amount of tuition assistance to award each year as this is funded by donations. Applications for financial aid are accepted online via FACTS, our Tuition Management and Grant & Financial Aid Assessment third-party partner.

A non-refundable application fee of $45 is required to submit your application. All families must reapply annually for financial assistance.

You may log in to your FACTS user account to review the status of your application. Please allow 2 weeks processing time before inquiring further about receipt and/or status of the uploaded documents.

Once a family chooses to enroll their student at St. Benedict, FACTS will be utilized again to set up the tuition payment plan.

IRS Federal Income Tax Return, including all supporting schedules (the year of the tax return depends on the tax requirements of your school). If applicant and co-applicant file separately, we require both tax returns for the same tax year.
Copies of all the current year W-2 Wage and Tax Statements for both the applicant and co-applicant.

NOTE: If you are applying before you have received all the current year W-2 Wage and Tax Statements, please submit them as soon as they become available.
Copies of all supporting tax documents if you have business income/loss from any of the following:
Business: send Schedule C or C-EZ and Form 4562 Depreciation and Amortization Form: send Schedule F and Form 4562 Depreciation and Amortization
Rental Property: send Schedule E (page 1)
S-Corporation: send Schedule E (page 2), Form 1120S (5 pages), Schedule K-1 and Form 8825 Partnership - send Schedule E (page 2), Form 1065 (5 pages), Schedule K-1 and Form 8825 Estates and Trusts - send Schedule E (page 2), Form 1041 and Schedule K-1

IMPORTANT: If you file a tax return but do not have W-2 wages because you are self-employed, you will be required to submit a copy of your current year Federal Form 1040 Tax Return.
Copies of all supporting documentation for household Non-Taxable Income such as: Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, Food Stamps, Workers’ Compensation, and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). If you do not file a tax return, you are required to provide documentation of all income received.
Important to know: Draft or preview copy tax documents will not be accepted.
