Coach Walls is a Memphis native and a graduate of the University of Tenessee at Knoxville (Go Vols!). While at the University of Tennessee, Coach Walls was a Varsity Football starter and a four year captain on defense. Since graduating, Coach Walls has had extensive experience coaching high school players in the Memphis area including at Melrose High School (Shelby County Schools), previously at St. Benedict High School, and at Hernando High School (Desoto County Schools). Coach Walls also has extensive experience working with a number of area teams and athletes through his individualized "D-Line U" training program. Faith, Family, and Football are the driving values behind all that he does.
Coach Walls' Vision and Misson stem from a belief that the game of football is a both a teaching tool and an opportunity to live out the values of loyalty, honor, pride, hard work, competition, teamwork, and character. This is because good football players have to engage in a process of shifting their focus away from self and onto the team, which gives young men the chance to form bonds and relationships that only come by being a part of a team; these are lessons that last a lifetime. As such, Coach Walls remains deeply committed to developing the personal, academic, and athletic abilities of every player on the team so as to produce well-disciplined student-athletes who strive for personal, educational and athletic excellence both on the field and in the community.
In addition to a Bachelors degree from the University of Tennessee (Sociology), Coach Walls also has a Masters of Business Administration degree and a Teaching Certificate from the University of Mississippi.
